Obituary of Jolene Marie Rick

Jolene Marie Rick was born August 12, 1955 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the daughter of Keith and Stella Ann Rick. Jolene was raised in Urbana, Iowa. She attended special education classes in Urbana and Blairstown, Iowa. Jolene worked at Opportunities in Vinton. Following the family moving to Spirit Lake in 1995, Jolene began work at Echo-Plus, where she continued to work until her health declined. Jolene loved Penny, the family dog, as well as Bella (whom she called Lella), the Echo-Plus dog. She enjoyed music, dancing, crafts, little children and dogs. She especially loved The Wizard of Oz. She also enjoyed camping, fishing and riding the lakes on the pontoon boat. She was especially fond of her dad and brothers. Jolene passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Hilltop Care Center at fifty-six years of age. Left to survive are her parents, Keith and Ann Rick; brothers, Dr. Wayne Rick and his fiance, Cindy Usher, of Marion, Iowa, Perry Rick of Hiawatha, Iowa and Wesley Rick and his wife, Carole, of Vinton, Iowa; nieces, Anna and Kathryn; nephew, Jeff; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, aunt & uncle, Janyce and Jack Kisling, uncle and aunt, Ed and Elaine Saddoris, and cousin, Randy Kisling.
