Obituary of Michael Mennenga
Micheal "Dyno" Glenn Mennenga, born to Henry S. Mennenga and Jean A. (Osborn) Mennenga, April 26, 1948 in Marshalltown, Iowa. Graduated from Gladbrook High School in 1966, enlisted in the Air Force,and served in the Vietnam War. He passed away on August 20, 2018, at the Spirit Lake Hospital after losing his battle with copd
He was an electrician by trade and worked throughout the United States.
He enjoyed, playing the lottery, riding his motorcycle, watching golf, drag races ,and spending time with his Partner of 28 years , Sharon K. Patton and their cats, family and friends."Dyno was a member of the VFW in Spirit Lake, Iowa and the American Legion.
He and Sharon , resided in Okoboji together, since 2003.
He is survived by his Mother, Jean A. Mennenga, Brother , Marshall (Peg) Mennenga, Sister, Marilyn (Charles) Aldrich; His life Partner of 28 years, Sharon K. Patton and her Mother, Wilma Patton, and Sharon's Brother, Weston (Heather) Patton, Wanda (Patton) Vanderpool and Connie (Hunter) Patton .. Numerous, Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews, and he and Sharon's long time friend, Tina Ritzer.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Henry Mennenga, and his Grandparents, Father-in-law, Weston Patton, Brother-in- laws, Delbert Patton and Wendall Patton.
He will be missed by all.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Dyno (Micheal), at The Spirit Lake V.F.W. , on Saturday, November 24, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Cards and Condolences can be brought to the Celebration of Life or may be sent to Micheal Menenga , Box 633, Okoboji, IA 51355.
