Obituary of Daniel Inbody
Daniel Dean Inbody was born August 8, 1957 in Spirit Lake Iowa to Kenneth and Mary Ellen (Egeland) Inbody. Dan was a graduate of Spirit Lake High School (1975), Iowa Lakes Community College (1977) and received his Heavy Construction Engineer Degree from Arizona State (1985).
In high school, Dan participated in football, wrestling and track and continued playing football at Iowa Lakes Community College. He enjoyed hunting, wrestling and watching college football, especially Iowa State and Arizona State.
After college, Dan worked in Arizona and California before moving back to Spirit Lake where he worked for the Dickinson County Engineers office, the City of Spirit Lake, Diamond Concrete and was a project manager for P.C.I. of Reinbeck for sixteen years. He was the project manager for numerous highway improvements, including Hwy 71 between Walmart and Milford, Hwy 60 & 9 near Sibley, Hwy 20 and in Sioux City.
Dan passed away Friday, October 4, 2013 in Council Bluffs, Iowa at fifty-six years of age. Dan will be remembered as a loving, caring and gentle giant.
Daniel is survived by his mother, Mary Ellen Inbody; sister, Nancy (Kenneth) Brant; nephews, Johnathan Inbody and Eric Brant; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; many friends and the PCI crew.
Preceding Daniel in death were his father, Kenneth Inbody; brother, Jerry Inbody, maternal grandparents, Jens and Margaret Egeland; and paternal grandparents, Earl and Olive Inbody.
