We always enjoyed sharing communion with Karl at Accura. You could see how much that sacrament meant to him each time we shared it. God bless all of your memories and may they bring peace to your hearts.

Dear June, Jennifer and families, I was privileged to hear Karl speak at the Spirit Lake Library. His story of life under Nazi occupation held the audience spellbound. It was humbling and inspiring. Another of The Greatest Generation has left us and Heaven rejoices. Pam Jordan

IITimothy 4:7. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. We need a new generation of men like Karl, who say to God " Not my will, but Yours be done!" And at the end of their lives say " Father, I glorified You on earth and I have completed the work You gave me to do" Karl was like a DAD to everyone. Dependable Amazing Dane.. He was a kind, gentle man who had my friends, he was sincere, loving and cared deeply about people and wanted the best for them. He was a true example for us, and how to live our lives. His spirit of goodness surrounds us now, as we grieve and celebrate his life. God bless you Karl, you made earth a better place to be by your presence and heaven will shine more brightly now that you're there.

I feel so fortunate to have been able to meet Karl through the Okoboji Summer Theatre. I so enjoyed looking forward to seeing him and June every Sunday at the theatre. He gave me a book that he wrote about his life and I will cherish it forever. He was an amazing man with a big heart and soul. Heaven is lucky to have this angel back amongst them.
