I first met Jeanette at a Bible study at harbor of Joy a few years ago. She always had a smile on her face. My mom was in the Milford nuring home this summer and Jeanette's room was next to mine. Meryl, Jeanette and I had many lovely conversation s she would have loved the Alamo Bowl yesterday when the Hawks won. She was a lovely person. I will miss you, Jeanette.

Share a memory--how about a lifetime. Mitz (as she was known to her family) was never about herself but about others. She was always concerned about other peoples happiness. She was an outstanding basketball player that I never knew completely until a few weeks ago. I remember a basketball hoop in the hayloft of the barn and never knew why. It was where she would practice shooting. I remember her sitting in the car at night listening to her Sioux City Soos baseball team. We didn't have a tv or radio in the house. I never knew why. My how she loved her sports. We all know her love of the Hawkeyes, the MN Twins and the Chicago Bulls. I remember her telling me about cultivating corn with the old F-20 with no hydraulics, only muscles to lift it at the end of the row. She loved to ride on the tractor while I cultivated to get her sun tan. When Bonnie and I would stop in town for dinner with her she was always ready to go, we would feel like we were the most important people in her day. She always had time for others. Everyone that knew her will remember her smile as you would walk through the door to their house. I could go on for ever but I must stop. Good-by sis--I already miss you.
