Obituary of Ronald Wemark
Ronald Dean Wemark was born July 3, 1953 in Decorah, Iowa, the son of Norman and Pauline (Ash) Wemark. He attended elementary school in Decorah, Iowa and later attended junior high and high school in Milford, Iowa. He lived in the Lakes Region the rest of his life.
On April 28, 1973, Ron married Donna Robinson in Arnolds Park, Iowa. Three daughters were born to this union. Ron was employed in various occupations including autobody work with his father, Winnebago, McQuay's, John Morrell, StyleCraft and was owner and operator of Wemark's Dock Service.
Ron was a former member of the Arnolds Park Fire and Rescue, Pheasants Forever and Father/Daughter Indian Princess. He attended the Calvary United Methodist Church in Arnolds Park and later the First Lutheran Church in Milford.
Ron loved spending time with his three daughters and his grandson. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and was an avid hunter. Ron also liked boating, socializing with friends and playing pool with his father, Norman.
He passed away May 8, 2012 at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake, Iowa at fifty-eight years of age.
Ron is survived by his daughters, Rhonda Marie, Jennifer Jean and Michelle Lynn; grandson, Azaiah Runkle; brother, Robert Eugene; nieces, Kathy Luchtenberg, Kim Malanaphy and Bobbji Jo Soga; nephew, Jeremy Wemark.
He was preceded in death by his father, Norman, mother, Pauline and his brother, James.
