Obituary of Stanley Christenson

Stanley Dean Christenson was born October 2, 1943 in Lake Park, Iowa, the son of Clarence and Lillian (Thompson) Christenson. He graduated from Lake Park Community School in 1961. In 1964, Stan enlisted in the United Air Force and served as a Staff Sergeant until he was honorably discharged in 1968. Stan worked at JBS Swift in Worthington, Minnesota. He enjoyed being involved in the Lake Park Little League, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Odd Fellows and the Lake Park Fire Department. He attended the United Methodist Church and First Presbyterian Church of Lake Park Stan passed away on June 3, 2012 at Lakes Regional Hospital in Spirit Lake, Iowa at sixty-eight years of age. He is survived by his son, Scott (Tara) Christenson of Lake Park and their children, Peyton, Miranda and Hanna; daughter, Julie Christenson of Lake Park and her son, Parker; brother, Allen Christenson of Council Bluffs; brother, James Christenson of San Diego, California; sister, Caroline (Kenneth) Paulson of Windom, Minnesota; brother, Marshall (Barbara) Christenson of Fort Worth, Texas; sister, Leanna (Darrell) Hacker of Manassess, Virginia; sister, Roberta (Stephen) Thorn of Lake Park; fifteen nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Stan was preceded in death by his parents and one` sister-in-law, Beverly Christenson.
