Obituary of Delores Lindsay

Delores Marie Lindsay was born August 10, 1923 in Jackson, Minnesota, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Boehm) Benjamin. On June 22, 1939, Delores was united in marriage to Jerry F. Lindsay in Jackson, Minnesota. She lived most of her life in Arnolds Park with the exception of three years that she lived in Milford and the last eight years in Spirit Lake. Delores loved her family first and foremost. She loved family get-togethers, bird watching, watching wild turkeys, squirrels and deer. She enjoyed going for rides around the lake and stopping at the spillway to see all of the fish. She liked all kinds of jewelry, flowers and every Sunday she watched Rev. Schuller. Delores attended the Methodist Church. Delores passed away February 13, 2011 at Hilltop Care Center in Spirit Lake, Iowa at eighty-seven years of age. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Lindsay of Spirit Lake, son, Michael J. Lindsay of Spirit Lake, daughter, Joann Kastrup and her husband, Kent, of Spirit Lake; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry, Sr., son, Jerry Dewayne, daughter, Judith Arndt, daughter, Margaret Meyers, son, Tom Lindsay and son, John Lindsay.
