Obituary of Sheri Ann Best

Sheri Ann Best was born July 25, 1949 in Carroll, Iowa, the daughter of William Best and Erma Ridgeway. In 1967, she graduated from Boone High School where she was a cheerleader . On February 10, 1968, Sheri was united in marriage to Terry Lee Lass in Boone, Iowa. The family resided in Boone until moving to Ogden, Iowa in 1972 where she and her husband ran the Ogden Bowling Alley. In 1976, the family purchased another bowling alley in Spirit Lake and relocated to Okoboji. During their residence there they not only operated the bowling center, they built and operated the Lass Chance Stadium Lounge in Spirit Lake until 1982. In 1982, Sheri moved to Arizona where she specialized in employee health and benefit administration. In 2002, Sheri moved back to the Lakes Area to assist her daughter, Trishelle, in opening a real estate company where she herself practiced. Sheri enjoyed singing, dancing, golfing and any activities involving her grandchildren. Sheri passed away December 14, 2010 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at sixty-one years of age. She is survived by her two children, Trishelle Lass and Travis Lass; daughter-n-law, Laura; four grandchildren, Jessica, D.Jay, Alaina and Sarah; one brother, Bob Best. She was preceded in death by parents, William and Erma.
