A Funeral Service for Nicole Beal, age 41, of Milford will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023 at 10:30am at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Milford. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Milford. Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 5:00-7:00pm at the funeral home in Milford.
Nicole Lynn Beal, born on July 6, 1982, in Spirit Lake, Iowa, to her loving parents Wilmer Johnson and Cindy (Stone) Meylor, passed away on October 8, 2023. She was a cherished daughter, a dedicated mother, a beloved sister, and a loyal friend.
Nicole, affectionately known as Nikki, was a native of the Milford area. She briefly resided in Sioux City during her childhood but returned to her beloved Milford community. It was there that she was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Nikki's pursuit of knowledge led her to achieve a bachelor’s degree from Buena Vista University. With her education in hand, she embarked on a career as an accountant.
Nikki’s true passion lay in her creative spirit. She used her artistic talents to express her love for life, leaving behind beautiful creations that will serve as a lasting testament to her creativity.
But perhaps the most significant source of joy in Nikki's life were her children, Nevah, Ashton, and Jackson Beal. She adored them and reveled in every moment spent together. Nikki's family was her world, and she cherished the time spent playing board games, watching movies, and making them laugh. She will be remembered for her unique way of giving away all the answers during family games of trivial pursuit, sparking laughter and cherished memories that will endure.
Nikki is survived by her children: Nevaeh, Ashton, and Jackson Beal of Milford, Iowa; step-daughter, Jasmine Beal of Milford, Iowa; her father, Wilmer Johnson (Judy Kubik) of Dakota City, Nebraska; her stepfather, Michael Meylor of Milford, Iowa; her brother, Dustin Weise, and his children, John, Jalen, and Joshua Wiese of Portland, Maine; her sister, Vanessa (Tom) Jorgensen and their children, Dylan, Jillian, and Natalie of Milford, Iowa; her sister, Madalyn Meylor (Levi Gilmore) of Spencer, Iowa; her brother, Matthew Meylor of Milford, Iowa; her sister, Kaitlyn Meylor (Alyssa LaRoque) of Waukee, Iowa; her grandmother, Carol Lew of Palm Bay, Florida; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a great nephew.
Nikki was preceded in death by her mother, Cindy Meylor; her grandparents: Wilmer and Betty Johnson, Richard Stone, Jerry and Irene Meylor; her uncle, Ronald Stone; and her beloved dog, Mia.
