Obituary of Pam Stinogel
A funeral service for Pam Stinogel, age 65, of Milford will held Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Union Memorial Church in Milford. Burial will be at Milford Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00am on Saturday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, Pam requested memorials be made to Union Memorial Church, Milford Fire & Rescue or Abben Cancer Center.
Pamela Rae Stinogel was born August 25, 1951 in Spirit Lake, Iowa, the daughter of Elwyn and Rebecca (Sietsema) Stinogel. She was raised and educated in Milford, graduating from Milford High School in 1969.
Pam was a member of Union Memorial Church in Milford, where she was baptized in 1957, and became a member in 6th grade. She kept active in the church in both Jr. and Adult Choir, taught Sunday School, as well as played the piano.
In high school, Pam starting working at Benit's Amusement Park in 1967 and continued working there until 1969. On October 27, 1969, she began a forty-two year career at Spencer Hospital as a nurse's aide. Pam began working in the Purchasing Department in 1982, first as a storeroom clerk and, in 1990, as a Buyer. She retired in 2012, due to cancer treatments and health concerns.
Pam passed away Monday, January 30, 2017, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at sixty-five years of age.
She is survived by her sister, Jo Ann Pedersen of North Platte, Nebraska; brother, Jack (Kim) Stinogel, of St. Cloud, Minnesota; nieces, Kimberly Kelly, Leah Stinogel, Rebekah Spencer and Ashley Ellenwood; nephews, Robert Ryker, Michael Ellenwood, Collin Stinogel and Brett Stinogel; and brother-in-law, David Ellenwood of Spencer; many friends and her church family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elwyn and Rebecca Stinogel and sister, Mary Jo Ellenwood.
