Del & I will always cherish our wonderful memories of the fun times we spent with your precious parents. Thanks, Carla, for your thoughtful call. The many card games we played together, the several bus trips we loved, the serious times we spent together discussing our families, our faith and our joys. The hilarious laughter we always had, the love we shared. All such beautiful memories. Evonne's & then Chuck's passing was the sad ending to the book of life's memories we cherish. Yet we rejoice in knowing they are together with Jesus. That is a goal we all hope for someday.
Their love for you 3 children & your families was immense. We always felt we knew you well, as we were kept pretty much up to date on all of you. Thank you for sharing their lives & love with us. We are so honored. Love & prayers to all of you. Vivian & Del Lundgren

What a wonderful couple..together again. What an example of how to live your lives. We loved playing cards with them, and they were wonderful community members involved in so many ways to make the world a better place. GOD BLESS YOU DEAR FRIENDS.

My heart is hesvy as I've just learned of your father's passing. Your mother and father were very dear to me. We met while on a Spanish trip to Mexico where they were sponsoring a child's education. They (your parents) were among with the Spanish trip, which we were chaperones for, and they were apart of so many of the adventures with the students we had during that trip. After that your parents and I kept in contact regarding many issues in the community, and they were there for me when my daughter was killed in 2010. Chuck and Evonne had a huge heart when it came to supporting our youth ministry of Spenser's Underground, they were always wanting updates on the youth progress and offering their prayers and help anyway they could. Since your mom's passing I visit her almost weekly, just keeping her informed, and more they are together once again, free of pain and im sure smiling and laughing with the youth in heaven. RIP Chuck, I'm a better person because I've had the pleasure of being apart of their lives. Prayers to their family

Isn't technology wonderful? I would have never known about your Dad's passing, if I hadn't read The Forum on-line today.
I have such wonderful memories of all of you while we were growing up in Fairmount! When I saw the obituary for your Dad, I had several flashbacks - sitting around Grandma Julia's kitchen table, skiing in the ditch by the highway, learning to ride a bike, and of course the riding the sled through ditches as our mothers drove the car that pulled us!
It's the end of an era. They're all gone, now.
I just retired and am living in Santa Fe, NM, but I'm thinking of all of you today.
Take care.

I became acquainted with Chuck when he worked at the schools. What a wonderful caring person he was. He was a great role model for all he came in contact with. He and Evonne are together again.

Always a friendly and upbeat person. I first met him at Spirit Lake schools and our paths crossed periodically in the community and he always remembered my name. My sympathy to his family.
